" Optimorph have successfully delivered three projects for Business Link Kent, a Manufacturing Resource Efficiency Club, a Manufacturing Best Practice Club and the manufacturing element of an EU funded cross border project. They continue to run breakfast meetings for the Manufacturing Advisory Service presenting bite size learning packages on Lean principles. The reason we use them is that they deliver what they have promised “in spades”. They do not have to be hand held, just given a task, and they get on with it without any fuss."
Sustainable Business Projects Manager
Business Link Kent
Recruitment, design and facilitation of numerous Manufacturing and Engineering network groups covering;
• Best Practice breakfast meetings delivered in East Kent, Mid Kent and West Kent on behalf of Business Link Kent and MAS for 4th consecutive year covering topics such as:
5S Workplace Organisation
High Performance Teams
SMED (rapid changeovers) and OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency)
Key Performance Indicators, Dashboards and Flash Reports
• Best Practice Resource Efficiency Club meetings on behalf of Business Link Kent and Envirowise for second consecutive year.
• Cross Border Resource Efficiency Club on behalf of Business Link Kent (Interreg IIIA EU project) launched July 07.
Our role was to identify 'hot topics' such as waste disposal and carbon footprinting and to provide coaching on process mapping, resource efficiency KPI's and the running of in house improvement teams.
By raising awareness, encouraging lean thinking and by addressing utility consumption issues over £230K of savings from just 9 of the companies involved has been identified to date.
The philosophy behind these clubs is simple
Eliminate ⇒Reduce ⇒Reuse⇒Recycle ⇒Dispose
With the pressures on our fragile environment and increasing energy costs Optimorph is delighted to have worked with these SME's and provide support in this critically important area.
• Quality Management Workshops delivered across South East region for Business Link Kent, Business Link Hampshire and Business Link Sussex. The workshops resulted in all delegates leaving the workshop with bespoke Quality Policy Statements to support the procurement process for the London 2012 games.
